Kitahara Kei is a screenwriter whose prodigious talent is taking the world by storm, but the people on whom he models his protagonists invariably end up dead. Dismayed by the misfortunes piling up in his wake, he abandons the pen and falls into dissipation, spending his days drinking in underground bars. One night when Kei is drunk and collapsed in the street, he is approached by a young amateur photographer named Youichi. Kei finds himself irresistibly drawn to Youichi’s ever-changing expressions, his radiantly pure smile, and sometimes sultry gaze… Being with Youichi, Kei finds himself overflowing with words once more, and yet he knows that he will only bring misfortune to Youichi…
